AND YOUR FAMILY WAS HARMED. WE HELP FAMILIES GET THE HELP THEY DESERVE.

There is too
much at stake.

If your baby was premature and fed cow’s milk-based infant formula (Enfamil, Similac, etc.), your child may have developed NEC or Necrotizing Enterocolitis. But you didn’t do anything wrong. And now you have to stand up for your family’s rights – for the rights of your baby and their future.

We want to help you.

IT'S LONELY

Even though NEC affects about 9,000 of the 480,000 infants born preterm each year in the United States, you feel lonely and isolated.

UNWANTED & UNFAIR EXPENSES

Doctor visits, legal actions, and sometimes surgeries can add tens, if not hundreds, of thousands of dollars of unwanted expenses.

LEGAL ISSUES

Surgery may be required if the NEC is severe or doesn’t resolve within a week. The surgeon will remove dead tissue and ruptured parts of the intestine. Sometimes an ostomy, a separate surgery that connects the bowels to an opening in the abdomen, is necessary. The opening will be closed up 6-8 weeks later. Holding someone accountable and receiving compensation will require legal action, which is both time-consuming and expensive.

Painful & scary

NEC can cause a hole to form in your baby's intestines. This makes bacteria inside the intestinal tract leak into your child's intestinal wall and sometimes out into the abdominal cavity. This causes an infection and can harm a small or large part of the intestine.

Financial compensation

Your family and, more specifically, your child have been harmed. You may be entitled to compensation and even punitive damages.

NEC caused by feeding cow’s milk-based formula to premies is preventable. Your participation ensures others, just like you, don’t have to endure watching their child suffer from NEC.

The Family Protection Group difference.

We work with law firms that are evaluating claims against baby formula manufacturers that failed to properly warn parents of the potential for their products to cause NEC in premature infants.

Years of research have long associated cow's milk-based products with increased risks of developing NEC for premature infants. Despite this, manufacturers never warned parents of the potential harm it can cause and continue to promote these products as safe.

You need to be heard, represented, and compensated. We are here to help.
